The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (CBYX), now in its 25th year, is a unique exchange program for American high school students to live in Germany for a year. Hurry up if you're interested: the deadline to apply for the 2009 program (start date July) is December 16, 2008. Applicants have to be between 15 and 18 years old and have to be a U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident. For more details on this program as well as on eligibility, click here. In case you know college students who would be interested, there is also the "older" version of the program, the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals.
