If your child(ren) haven't signed up for the 2009 ZfA Essay Contest, they should hurry and let their teachers know if they are interested. Teachers have to sign up interested students by November 1 (deadline to submit the essay is March 1, 2009; winners are notified by the end of the school year) . This year's topics are "Offene Türen" for younger students and "20 Jahre danach: Fall der Berliner Mauer" for older students. Teachers have the specifics about this contest. Prizes include a week participation in a German Immersion Summer Program in Minnesota, pizza parties for classes and much more!
