Winter is upon us and time for everyone to review our general snow cancellation policy as outlined in our handbook: 

The decision to close will be made no later than 7AM on Saturday morning. Parents will be able to learn if the school is closed through the following:

• School Phone 617-201-9561 will have a recorded message announcing that the school is closed
• Channel 7 WHDH TV Storm Center will post the German Saturday School Boston on their list of school closings (you can also sign up for an automatic text message notification in case of a school closing at WHDH "7 on your cell" site)
• We will also post a school closing notice here on our Web site as quickly as possible (if you check back, please remember to hit refresh on your browser so you get the most updated information)

Generally, we'd like to offer classes unless the weather makes the commute for a majority of our faculty impossible. Please remember that weather conditions can vary greatly from locality to locality. Parents should therefore use their own discretion and best judgment in making the decision to travel in bad weather. For this school year, there is now snow make-up day in the calendar should we have to cancel school.
