Do you have travel plans or are picking up visitors from Logan Airport? If you happen to be at Terminal E in November, make sure to look out for a special German exhibit "Berlin - City of Change" which will be on display between October 29 and November 11.  The exhibit is part of the beBerlin capital city campaign which is traveling the world.

Parking Advisory for October 17

This weekend, a lot of things are going on at and around Boston University: It's BU's Parent Orientation weekend as well as the annual Head of Charles Regatta. Both events will likely mean more traffic and less parking for us. During BU's Parent Orientation on Saturday several events are taking place on and off campus. While BU parents are advised to take public transportation, all BU parking lots will be open and free for them to use. Please keep this in mind for your commute to school this Saturday - and plan to leave a few minutes earlier in case "our" parking lot on Commonwealth Ave will be filling up quickly and you need to look for on street parking. Thank you for your understanding!

B1, B2/C1 2010 Exam Dates announced

To the parents and students in Grades 10 and higher: The written exam dates for the B1 and B2/C1 exams have been set for Saturday, March 20, 2010. Please make a note of it. We've also updated this in our calendar - click here for the latest version. This is also a great opportunity to spread the word that last year's A2 (8 students), B1 (17 students) and C1 (5 students) all passed their exams. We were recently notified about these great results! Congratulations to all and wishing this year's group the same success!

Fall Notes

School is full swing - we hope everyone's settled well into their classrooms! Should you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to stop by the admin desk on the lower level in front of the library on Saturday mornings and someone from the administration should be able to help you! If you'd rather e-mail us,  all contact information is listed in our handbook (see below). Also, as you know, attendance is key to school success, so if you're unsure about our school policy, you may want to review the chapter in our handbook. We had a fun parent social / Kneipenabend at the BSV this past Friday. Suggestions for other social events during school hours or outside that might help foster our school community are always welcome. Send us a note!

Teacher is looking for childcare on Saturday mornings

One of our teachers is urgently looking for home childcare for his 7-month old son on Saturday mornings. A German speaking nanny/babysitter is preferred! Location is Southbridge, so anyone in the Worcester / 495 / I-90 area would be perfect. A drop-off on the way to Saturday school along the Masspike would also be an option. Hours would be approx. 8-2. Please contact him directly if you know anyone.
