Musikgarten

Musikgarten is an internationally known early childhood music program. Dunja Pechstein, a former music teacher at our school, is offering Musikgarten classes for 1.5-5 year old children in German. Music is a wonderful tool to deepen the understanding of a foreign language. Children sing in a different language a long time before the are able to speak the language. To learn more about Musikgarten and Dunja's programs, visit www.musikgarten.org/boston.

Thursday Adult German School

You are a "grown-up" and would like to learn German? This might be for you: The Thursday Adult German School is part of the Boylston Schul-Verein (as is the German Saturday School!) and teaches beginner, intermediate and advanced German classes at their location in Walpole on Thursday nights from September through May. For course and curriculum information on how to sign up click here or send an e-mail to request information.

German Language Tutoring

If you are looking for extra tutoring in German, whether it's in addition to classes you or your children are already taking or because this is your preferred method of learning the language, we have a list of teachers at the German Saturday School that also tutor outside of our school. To request the list, please send us an e-mail.

Study German with the Goethe-Institut

The Goethe-Institut Boston offers a broad range of German language classes for all ages, including those that are complementary to the German Saturday School. The Goethe-Institut is also offering children's and teen classes which may be especially interesting for families who are currently on a waiting list for the Saturday School. Please visit the Goethe-Institut's Web site for details on their fall 2009 schedule which include teen and adult classes on Saturday mornings as well as a children's course on Friday afternoon.
